ARISE: A Resourcein Serving Equality
ARISE is a community development program based in
the philosophy that within any given community are the gifts and
talents needed for that community to take care of its own needs.
ARISE is an alternative educational structure designed to assist
immigrant communities cope with and become functional within an
academic society. And ARISE is a community-based organization which
delivers its services in homes of participants. "Neighbor helping
neighbor (to learn) in the neighborhood" is a popular way to
decribe ARISE.
