How to Register to Vote

Use web site:

• Go to the voter registration page
• Follow the instructions to select your state and enter the required information
• Preview your voter registration form
• Download the form, print it, and mail it to the address provided

Note: you will need Adobe Acrobat to download the form. If you don’t have it, you click here to go to Adobe’s web site where you can follow the instructions to download Adobe Acrobat for free.

Groups

• Download the FEC voter registration document from www.eac.gov/docs/nvra.pdf
• Print the first 6 pages, which contain the national voter registration application and instructions.
• Print the page in the document that contains specific information for your state.
• Check the last page of the document for registration deadlines for your state.
• Make copies of the voter registration application and instructions.
• Set up a table at a community gathering. Include the application forms, instructions, pens, envelopes, stamps (optionally include a donation box to cover the cost of stamps) and people to help!
