PLANNED GIVING

Planned gifts, such as bequests or gifts directed through beneficiary designations, can be a meaningful way for you to ensure your commitment to social justice endures as a legacy through NETWORK’s political ministry for many years to come.
Planning gifts in your estate, for the charitable organizations that you cherish, brings clarity and reassurance for you and your loved ones that your wishes after your death will be followed. Our community would be grateful if you decide to make NETWORK part of your legacy. Estate planning is now easier than ever, thanks to online tools and free support through community resources like libraries and nonprofit legal-aid groups. Setting up a planned gift can be as simple as adding NETWORK’s name and Tax ID to a line on a form or including a sentence or two in your will.
Types of Gifts
There are a few common ways to include NETWORK in your estate plans. For assistance while you determine the option best suited for you, we ask that you contact Major Gifts Officer Kristin Schol by phone at (202) 601-7857 or send her an email at [email protected].
If you have already designated a gift, please let us know by filling out our gift intent form, either at this link or by downloading and printing out the printable form. This way, we can recognize you as a Bread & Roses Society member in our Annual Report, plan well into the future, and share our appreciation for including us as part of your legacy.
Wills and Bequest
You may make a bequest or gift through your estate by including a provision in your will or bequest. Contributions can be made to NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice or NETWORK Advocates for Catholic Social Justice, which can include designating your gift to the NETWORK 50th Anniversary Endowment Fund. Please contact our office and we can provide suggested language according to your wishes.
Gifts of Stock
Put the stock market to work for justice with a gift of stock! Contributions can be made today or in the future with a designation for transfer to NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice, NETWORK Advocates for Catholic Social Justice, or directly to the NETWORK 50th Anniversary Endowment Fund.
Your broker may have special requirements and forms. Our office will be happy to assist you with any information you need to make a planned gift with your stock.
Retirement Plans and Life Insurance
You can contribute by naming NETWORK as a beneficiary of a retirement plan, such as an IRA, Roth IRA, Sep IRA, Keogh, 401[k], or 403[b], or life insurance policy. To do so, simply request a “change-of-beneficiary” form from your plan’s administrator and contact our office for guidance. Remember that if your contribution needs to be tax-deductible, you should designate your gift to NETWORK Advocates for Catholic Social Justice.
Bread & Roses Society
All supporters who make planned giving contributions are invited to join our Bread & Roses Society. The society honors the legacy of those who ensure that NETWORK can continue to carry forward our spirit of solidarity—advocating for federal policies that uphold human dignity and support communities to not only survive, but thrive!
The name of the society, “Bread & Roses,” is inspired by the 1912 mill strike in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Women from many immigrant communities came together to demand “bread and roses”—calling not only for life’s necessities, but also for dignity, beauty, and the opportunity to flourish.
If you have included NETWORK in your estate plans, please let us know by filling out our gift intent form either online or by downloading and printing out the printable form.
Thank you!
