For decades, Catholic Sisters and faith-filled justice-seekers have chosen solidarity with workers and love of neighbor. Today, we carry this Spirit forward with all who care about the common good. We recognize that our economy touches on all aspects of our lives and are demanding federal policies that reflect our dignity and deliver what we need and deserve: An Economy for All.

NETWORK’s An Economy for All policy agenda demands: jobs with paid leave and wages that cover our bills, retirement, and more; affordable housing, food, and health care; safe and welcoming neighborhoods; clean air and water; a tax code that ensures the wealthy pay their fair share; a just and humane immigration system; and politics responsive to the people, not the money.
Whether we are nurses or farm workers, welders or coders, students or retirees, we are resilient and we take care of each other. When money is tight, we find a way to get by. But we deserve more than that. We are made in God’s image, and we deserve to thrive, not just survive.
But time and time again, some greedy politicians side with the ultra-wealthy, letting them influence our politics, pollute our neighborhoods, and get rich off our hard work -– allowing CEOs to make 290 times more than the average workers’ pay. To distract us from the problems the powerful few create, they blame low-wage workers, hardworking immigrant families, and our transgender neighbors. Instead of making the ultra-wealthy pay what they owe in taxes, these lawmakers seek to cut our health care and take food off of our tables. This is immoral.
