The Medicaid Coverage Gap Must Be Closed

In a letter to Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the NAACP, and other social justice organizations advocating for affordable access to health care, asked for passage of reconciliation legislation that closes the Medicaid coverage gap. In our country, over 2 million adults live without adequate healthcare coverage because they earn too much to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough to participate in the Affordable Healthcare Act.
