The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has proposed a rule that could undermine the Affordable Care Act to a point of no return. The proposed rule (CMS-9924-P) would allow consumers to by short-term, “junk insurance” plans that do not need to meet standards set out by the ACA.
