About erin

As a Grassroots Mobilization Associate, Erin helps to maintain and strengthen the advocacy of NETWORK members. Erin graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a degree in Foreign Affairs, a minor in Spanish, and a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate. During her time in school, Erin was a campaign organizer for the Living Wage Campaign where she led presentations, planned rallies, and trained others to demand a more equitable wage and ethical working conditions for campus service workers. She was subsequently awarded a Fulbright grant to teach English in Panama in 2017, where she also started an English language library and book club. Where she finds inspiration for her work: • Talking to and learning from my family and activist friends • Reflecting on the teachings of social justice found in the Bible and lived out by the saints and other visionaries What she loves to do outside of work: • Hiking • Baking • Going to wineries and breweries • Reading Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado Why she likes D.C.: Being able to work in the intersection of institutional power and people power!
