WASHINGTON—On January 3, Mary J. Novak resigned as Executive Director of NETWORK Lobby and NETWORK Advocates.
“We appreciate Mary’s work with us over the last three and a half years, thank her for her service, and extend our best wishes to her in the future,” said NETWORK Advocates Board Chair Leslye Colvin and NETWORK Lobby Board Chair Sister Catherine Ferguson, SNJM.
Effective immediately, Joan F. Neal will serve as NETWORK’s Interim Executive Director. She has served NETWORK in various roles for over 10 years, most recently as the Deputy Executive Director & Chief Equity Officer.
“Joan has served NETWORK faithfully, and we are grateful for her willingness to guide this essential political ministry during the transition period,” said Colvin.
“We are confident in Joan’s leadership during this critical time in our country and as the 119th Congress begins,” said Ferguson.
Founded by Catholic Sisters in 1972, NETWORK is an inclusive, national, Catholic advocacy organization open to all who share our values, working for justice and equity for everyone. For 53 years, NETWORK has educated, organized, and lobbied for federal policies that serve the common good and honor the dignity of all people.
