Together, we’ve advocated for years for federal legislation that prioritizes the interests of people (families, those with lower incomes, workers, seniors, and children) over corporations. The Senate-passed Inflation Reduction Act will lower the cost of prescription drugs, health insurance, and everyday energy costs, and force the wealthy and large corporations to pay their fair share of taxes. Now the House must pass take action so President Biden can sign it into law.

Thanks for your years of service for Ohio and Northeast Ohio in particular. Though we are not in the same political party, I see you have voted, when you could, and sponsored just and fair measures that promoted the betterment of our country, rather than the singular focus on obstruction.
As a retired urban public school teacher, I hope you continue to be a conscientious voter and vote FOR the I R Act this week. Please vote down any amendments that are poison pills—aimed at scuttling the Act.
You know we vulnerable people of Ohio need jobs in the environment and financial industries, need help funding our prescription drugs, need help paying our energy costs, need help and incentives to pay our taxes by knowing that those with $200,000 and higher annual incomes and large corporations will be paying their fair share, too.
