Catholic Lobby: Civil Rights Act Protects LGBTQ+ Rights

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Catholic Sisters and activists of NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice strongly support the arguments in front of the Supreme Court that the Civil Rights Act protects the fundamental rights of LGBTQ+ people. NETWORK issued the following statement:

“Justice demands that every member of our human family is protected from hate and discrimination,” said Sister Simone Campbell, SSS, Executive Director of NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice. “It is the role of our government to protect all of our people. The Supreme Court must rule in favor of the civil rights of all LGBTQ+ Americans.”

NETWORK is open to all who share our passion. The Catholic Sisters and activists of NETWORK are proud to support our LGBTQ+ friends and colleagues to ensure they live free from discrimination. In NETWORK’s efforts to mend the gaps in our society, no one will be left behind.
